The opportunities, the connections, the roles, beliefs, and behaviors that are most aligned, that make us feel most alive, are those that arrive. No striving, nothing to ‘figure out’, just a natural unfolding.

This process of unfolding is an energetic one.
It is about frequency.
Everything in this world vibrates at a frequency.
Minuscule particles of energy bouncing against each other is what brings everything into form.
The process of emanation is one of attuning your frequency to that which is most true to the person you came here to be. It is a practice of matching your energy to all that is most aligned, bringing you into your fullest expression.

We practice ritual, we practice movement, we practice mindfulness to attune our energy. We do the work to understand ourselves - our blocks, our limits, our gifts, and our potential - to connect us with our most aligned self expression and frequency.
In finding the fulfillment we are all seeking, our work is not to ‘make things happen’, but to emanate - to become open enough and resilient enough for our deepest and truest desires to move through into form, and to possess the courage to act on them when they arrive.

Going deeper
The Oxford dictionary describes emanation as -
“the origination of the world by a series of hierarchically descending radiations from the Godhead through intermediate stages to matter”
It attributes all creation as originating from an energetic source and moving through various stages of form. There is a chain of creation, an energetic flow of consistent transmutation.
We can confirm this through the lens of physics using the first law of thermodynamics: energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transmuted. So from this perspective, all matter in our world originates from energy that previously existed in another form.
The atoms that make up your physical being were originally birthed in stellar explosions (supernovae). Those atoms, and the energy within them, have existed in some form since the beginning of time, constantly moving through cycles of transformation: stardust → earth → food → cells → you. Eventually, when your time in this form is complete, that energy will transmute once again, back into the earth, back into the cosmos.
So, your body, in this moment, is merely the current arrangement of energy that has been cycling through the universe for billions of years.
In contemplating this understanding, the suggestion that your conscious, conditioned mind is the authority of your life can begin to seem almost absurd.

Emanation vs. Manifestation
The key differentiator between these two processes lies in the role of the human intellect.
Yes, technically, anything that comes into form is a process of manifestation. Though largely we see this process being taught in our modern world as one that is led by conscious thought, by ‘deciding’ what we want, ‘deciding’ what we believe will be best for us and ‘making it happen’.
Emanation, on the other hand, is a process that places trust in some kind of intelligence greater than the human intellect. What that intelligence is, we do not need to define (though you may have a preferred faith system offering a definition). We only need to acknowledge that something or some force has been creating various forms of life and energetic expression for aeons - long, long before you came into existence in this ‘human body’ with human thoughts.
The number of ‘intermediate stages’ your energy has moved through to bring you into this current form are endless, all of which happened without the interference of your human intellect.
And so, by committing to all that creates our energetic attunement, we begin to see our path revealed as we move along it. Our most aligned goals, roles, and connections become clear when we are ready to receive and hold the vision.
Though to follow this process of emanation does not suggest that your mind is not an essential player. It is still a very necessary part of this process, it is perhaps just not the authority. The role of the mind is to implement on that which is received and revealed.
To follow this process of emanation also does not suggest that life becomes all flow with no hard work or no challenge. To commit to this path requires us to face ourselves. It requires great self-discipline, the ability to experience the depth of our most challenging emotions, and the willingness to commit to releasing our ego (perhaps the greatest human challenge of all). And all of these challenges will be required of us again, and again, and again.
